Do you know why there are so many todo list apps? Because they don't work.
Here's an example of a common todo list:
You see, it's not clear what you're trying to do. Each task is not related to one another. They just look like a list of things that you need to do for the day. After you complete each of them, what do you do next? Plan for the next day?
If you break down each of the example tasks, you can probably group them into a few major tasks:
But you could make them even more clear with specific goals of what each major task mean:
When tasks become very specific, you suddenly have an understanding of why you are doing what you are doing. You can then plan ahead, list out all the things you need to do to achieve each task and then just implement them. When a day finishes, you don't need to plan for another day. How about those moments when you dread completing the tasks? Since your goals were very clear, such as Getting 100 New Customers, you'd have the motivation to continue. Because at the end of the rough ride, you'd have 100 new customers.
And it's actually a very simple 3-steps process:
What happens when a deadline is approaching and you still have a lot to get done? Look at your tasks again and see if there's any items you can remove but still can deliver the end result. As a matter of fact, you don't have to wait for the deadline to come before readjusting the tasks. Since you've planned ahead, you can easily add or remove tasks while working towards the goal.
Now I've shown you how to go about the proper way of completing tasks, you don't really need the app I'm about to show you. You can easily do it in a text editor, iPhone Reminders, Google Calendar or Trello.
But with the Progress Bear App, you get to achieve your goals right away in an easy to use interface. You can easily visualize what needs to be done and what you achieved.
